Dhaka University's 100th year of celebration on July 2nd 2022

The centenary of the university has been celebrated under the initiative of Dhaka University Alumni Association.

This event is organized on 2nd July 2022 to mark 101 years of Dhaka University. The day-long event is organized at the Pak Panj Hotel located in the Mall City of Kuala Lumpur. Former student, Manzoor Morshed Deepu presented the function as the chairperson of the ceremony. Mr. Ziaur Rahman, PhD Researcher under Faculty of Language & Linguistics from University Malaya had taken up the role as the photographer for this event.

For the first time in Malaysia, Dhaka University Day have been celebrated by the DUAAM committee allowing former students to truly enjoy the day even when they are living overseas. This allows the DU spirit to be present wherever its former community are. Everyone had been given the chance to introduce themselves towards the start of the event. Families of these former students were also welcome in this celebration.

Eminent civil engineer Md. Amirul Islam Khokon was also present at the event. Various games, movie watching, prizes were distributed to keep everyone happy. Lastly, International Islamic University of Malaysia's professor Dr. Kausar Mustafa gave the closing speech.
